Discover Bilbao at your own pace, your own way
Its story is closely linked to the river, trade and its industrial past, yet today it is a vibrant, cultural city full of life. A city that is best discovered without rushing — and, above all, on your terms..
The Guggenheim is undoubtedly one of Bilbao's most iconic landmarks, but there is so much more to the city than its famous museum. It is in the narrow streets of the Old Town, in the pintxos enjoyed from one bar to the next, in the walks along the river and in that unique blend of tradition and modernity.
You choose what interests you, and I create the experience around you. Art and architecture, food, history, local traditions, hidden gems — or simply seeing Bilbao the way a local would.
If it's your first time in Bilbao, you'll find some of my favourite places and experiences here to help you get started.
And if you've already been here, we can take you beyond the usual sights.
Just a few kilometres from Bilbao, Portugalete is a historic riverside town shaped by the sea, trade and navigation. Founded in 1322, its old streets still preserve the character of a traditional Basque town, while the Ría tells the story of centuries of maritime life and the industrial transformation of the region. Its most iconic landmark is the Bizkaia Bridge, the world's oldest working transporter bridge. Opened in 1893, this impressive feat of engineering was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2006. But Portugalete is much more than its famous bridge. Discover its historic old town, the Basilica of Santa María, Salazar Tower, the Iron Pier, local food and the stories that have shaped life along the Ría.
